AWS re:Invent 2014 Recap
I’m almost done getting readjusted to regular life after AWS re:Invent! It was really awesome to meet so many developers building cool stuff on AWS, and to talk about how we can make your lives easier with great SDKs and tools.
If you didn’t make it to re:Invent this year, or if you opted for a session about one of the exciting new services we announced instead of my session about the AWS SDK for Java, the video and slides of my talk are available online. If you’re interested in going deeper, here are some links to more info on all of the topics I covered:
- The new modularized structure of the AWS SDK for Java
- The local ProfileCredentialsProvider and InstanceProfileCredentialsProvider
- Client-side metrics in the SDK
- The Amazon DynamoDB Document API and Mapper
- Client-side encryption with the AmazonS3EncryptionClient
- Real-time big data processing with the Amazon Kinesis Client Library
- The new Resource APIs for Java
As always, check out the AWS SDK for Java and all the AWS Labs projects on GitHub, and help us make it even easier for you to build really cool applications on AWS. And don’t forget to follow along on twitter for all the latest news and information!
