AWS Week in Review – February 11, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, February 11	You can now Create a Backup Website Using Route 53 DNS Failover and S3 Website Hosting.
Tuesday, February 12	A new post on the AWS Java Blog shows you how to Manage Multiple Accounts with the AWS Toolkit for Eclipse. A new post on the AWS Mobile Blog shows you how to Use the AWS SDK for iOS With Third-Party Frameworks.
Wednesday, February 13	We announced a price reduction for Multi-AZ deployments of Amazon RDS.
Thursday, February 14	We announced that Amazon Redshift is now Broadly Available. We published 8 more customer profiles from AWS re:Invent including PressMart Media, Campground Automation Systems, S4nity.com, Datapipe, Disys, Cloud vLabs, Axosoft, and Anacom Holdings.
Friday, February 15	We annouced that Amazon ElasticMapreduce now supports the High I/O Instance Types. AWS Marketplace added new products including XtremeData dbX-Data and NetApp Private Storage. A number of Marketplace products have been certified for use with Amazon Redshift including Jaspersoft, Microstrategy, and Attunity. A new post on the AWS Ruby Blog discusses the topic of Logging Requests issued by the AWS SDK for Ruby.
