Cloud skills are in demand: Share your AWS Certification achievement
Today, we are announcing enhancements to our AWS Certification digital badges to make it even easier to share certification achievements and be recognized by your employer and peers for AWS Cloud skills. AWS Certification helps you build credibility and confidence by validating your cloud skills with industry-recognized credentials. We provide digital badges as a benefit of earning an AWS Certification to showcase certification status.
By now providing digital badges via Credly’s Acclaim platform, we can offer flexible options for recognition and verification. With your new badge, you can take advantage of one-click badge sharing on social media newsfeeds, tools for embedding verifiable badges on websites, and an optional public profile with all earned AWS Certification badges.
I earned my first AWS Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, in 2013 when I was working in a solutions architect role for AWS. In 2014, I earned AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional. By 2017, I was leading the AWS Certification program and earned AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, our newest credential at the time. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner validates foundational cloud knowledge and is now often a starting point for builders and professionals learning how to be successful with the AWS Cloud.

Why should you share your AWS Certification achievement
First, you can celebrate with your network. Building cloud skills can be an intensive experience whether you are just starting out with cloud fluency or you’ve spent years honing technical expertise in a domain like databases or cloud security. Share your badge—and the good news—with your friends and colleagues who’ve supported you along the way.
Second, you can establish credibility for your cloud skills. Earning an AWS Certification shows you’ve met the bar, set by AWS experts, in a specific role or technical topic. Verifying your AWS Certification via a digital badge lets colleagues, employers, and clients know which skills you validated with AWS.
Third, sharing your AWS Certified achievements is a way to encourage others to build and validate their cloud skills. If you want to set an example for your team, or inspire colleagues taking on a cloud initiative, sharing digital badges is a great way to start. We’ve even seen teams print out badges and put them on the office wall for some friendly competition.
Get started sharing your AWS Certification digital badge
You can share your new AWS Certification badge(s) now via Credly’s Acclaim platform. To get started, sign in to your AWS Certification Account and look for the Digital Badges tab. If you have previously shared or posted your AWS Certification digital badge provided by CertMetrics for verification, you will need to update to your new digital badge from Credly’s Acclaim platform by August 1, 2020.
