All-In Technology Partners on AWS

The APN Partner community has always been a core part of our strategy for bringing the greatest amount of value to our customers. We are committed to working with the industry’s best independent software vendors (ISVs) to help them bring highly valued enterprise software to AWS that customers need to accelerate their business. By working with AWS, ISVs benefit from the new route to market that the cloud enables. Further, leveraging AWS’ global platform enables ISVs to reach customers across the globe without having to establish their own channels in areas of the world where they don’t have a presence.

AWS is a cloud platform for ISVs of all sizes, solution categories, geographic distribution, and go-to-market models. Whether a firm chooses to deliver their solution as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, a metered model through the AWS Marketplace, or with License Mobility (Bring your Own License), customers have a rich selection of commercial software for their use on AWS. As our ecosystem continues to grow, we’re looking to identify ISVs who are leaders in their market to publicly commit to being “all-in” with AWS, where they treat AWS as a priority platform for customers to run their software. An all-in commitment is a strategic declaration from the executive team at the APN Partner’s firm. In 2014, we had the pleasure to announce seven leading ISVs as our first all-in Technology Partners: Acquia, Emdeon, IMS Health, Infor, Informatica, Pegasystems and Splunk.

Announcing the Newest All-In APN Technology Partners

We’re excited to announce that today, another four APN Technology Partners have made the public commitment that they are all-in on AWS: MicroStrategy, Onshape, Software AG, and TIBCO. We look forward to working closely with these APN Partners as they deliver their high value solutions to customers on AWS.

What Does it Mean to be ‘All-In’ with AWS?

When we say that an ISV Partner is all-in on AWS, we mean that they have declared that AWS is their strategic cloud platform. This means that AWS is the core infrastructure powering their SaaS offerings. For those ISV Partners who also have traditional, installable software they also fully support their software for production use on AWS, are committed to developing their software for AWS, and they support customers using licenses purchased directly from them or through the AWS Marketplace with pay-as-you-go pricing.

The Importance of Going All-In for Customers

As more and more companies are moving their workloads to the cloud, they’re looking for solutions that will provide them with best of breed technologies to address their business needs. This requires commitment by trusted companies who are strategically aligned. It’s important for customers to know that their strategic technology vendors are committed to working together on their behalf, and an all-in announcement signifies an ISV’s commitment to work with AWS in the best interest of the customer. Customers can rest assured that all current and future strategic products will be readily available and optimized to run on the AWS platform.

We will continue to identify ISVs who are leaders in their respective market segments and work hard to earn their commitment to AWS and our customers.
