We are excited to release a major update to the SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start that supports Multi-AZ, single-node configurations with high availability. The SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start helps you deploy fully functional SAP HANA systems on the AWS Cloud, following best practices from AWS and SAP. The Multi-AZ option uses two Availability Zones for the SAP HANA environment on AWS and provisions two SAP HANA servers—primary and secondary—in separate, private subnets and configures them for high availability.

We strongly encourage APN Partners to register for AWS Training and Certification through APN Partner Central so those achievements count towards your APN tier requirements. By registering through APN Partner Central, your organization receives credit toward APN tier eligibility and compliance requirements. Employees should make sure all registrations are made using their corporate email address. To register, log in to APN Partner Central and access the Training portal via the link at the top of the home page.

The AWS Competency Program admitted 41 new AWS Partners in May—spanning workload, solution, and industry designations. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose top APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing APN Partner solutions from the tens of thousands in the AWS Partner Network.

Public references are commonly noted as one of the top APN elements that AWS customers look to when selecting an APN Partner. Customers can view validated public references within your AWS Partner Solutions Finder listing under the “Case Studies” tab, and they use these public references to review an organization’s previous success delivering AWS workloads. References not only enhance your visibility with customers, they can prepare your organization to apply for APN Programs such as the AWS Competency Program.

In this new series, we are highlighting best practices designed to help APN Partners maintain tier compliance. We’re calling this series “Achieve the Green” because our goal is to help you get green check marks throughout your Partner Scorecard Review. To kick off our series, we focus here on the Partner Scorecard view that is accessible in APN Partner Central. This is an integral tool for tracking and managing your APN tier status and to view eligibility requirements for upgrading to the next level.

Bright Wolf helps companies develop connected product systems across a broad range of industries, including manufacturing, oil and gas, smart building, and heavy equipment. With its new IoT platform based on AWS, Pentair can quickly and flexibly deliver connected solutions for virtually any scenario across all business units.

Siemens is Europe’s largest industrial manufacturing company and recently leveraged its MindSphere IoT platform to connect production machines at a factory in Monterrey, Mexico, to the AWS cloud in less than eight weeks, which will help it to double efficiency. AWS announced at Hannover Messe 2018 that Siemens PLM, a business unit of the Siemens Digital Factory Division, is a pre-qualified launch partner in the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program, which launches later in 2018.
