AWS Week in Review – November 5, 2012 Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week: Monday, November 5 We released consistent BatchGet and other new features for DynamoDB. We updated Amazon CloudSearch with new features, lower prices, and a free trial. We launched a SharePoint reference implementation on AWS complete with all necessary scripts, documentation, and CloudFormation templates. Tuesday, November 6 We announced price reductions and new instance types for RDS and ElastiCache. We published a new episode of the AWS Report. I interviewed Scott Montgomery of Trend Micro. Wednesday, November 7 We announced that the AWS re:Invent keynotes will be live streamed. Thursday, November 8 We published AWS customer success studies from Twiitch, HubWorks!, and Scribd.
