AWS Week in Review – October 21, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, October 21	The AWS .Net Development Blog talked aobut Using Elastic IP Addresses. The new AWS Application Management Blog talked about Elastic Beanstalk and the DynamoDB Session Manager for Tomcat. We announced that the AWS Console for iOS / Android Now Supports Auto Scaling.
Tuesday, October 22	I published AWS Report interviews featuring Chris Barclay talking about AWS OpsWorks and Michael Fuller on the AWS Marketplace. The AWS Training and Certification Update talks about a pair of new beta exams, along with a host of of other additional training options. We updated AWS Direct Connect with More Connection Speeds, a New Console, and support for Multiple Accounts. The AWS Mobile Development Blog talked about Download, Pause, and Resume with the S3TransferManager for iOS. We launched an edge location in Atlanta for CloudFront and Route 53, bringing the total world-wide count to 44.
Wednesday, October 23	The AWS PHP Development Blog discussed Wire Logging in the AWS SDK for PHP. The AWS .Net Development Blog discussed the DynamoDB APIs. The AWS Java Development Blog discussed Archiving and Backing-Up Data with the AWS SDK for Java.
Thursday, October 24	We added AWS Customer Success Stories for Life Technologies and Foursquare. The AWS .Net Development Blog discussed Archiving and Backing-Up Data with the AWS SDK for .Net.
Friday, October 25	This week AWS Marketplace added new products including CloudHealth, Codeship, Remotium, Parallel Universe, Redline, Zapier, Aerospike, CloudWeaver, Uploadcare, and Microchip.
