Enhance Zoom video calls with Amazon WorkSpaces

Zoom has extended support for virtual desktops with a Zoom plugin for Amazon WorkSpaces . This plugin optimizes your video experience when using Zoom with an Amazon WorkSpaces Windows client.

How it works

On starting a Zoom Meeting in your Amazon WorkSpaces session, the plugin establishes a secure connection with the Zoom Meeting client in the session. You have the option to select available devices for Zoom Meetings through Zoom’s native audio and video preferences.

During a Zoom Meeting, the plugin encodes the audio/video. It sends the data directly to the meeting. The plugin on the local device receives and displays audio/video from all the remote participants .

The connection aligns the video that it receives with the meeting window and updates for user actions. This includes muting the audio or turning the camera on or off. The connection between the WorkSpaces Zoom Meeting client and the plugin is over a virtual channel.

With this feature, you can enjoy native quality video and audio calls when using Zoom with PCoIP Amazon WorkSpaces.
