From Monoliths to Microservices at Zocdoc

Over the last two years, the Zocdoc Engineering team has been decomposing our monolithic web application into a set of isolated microservices. We’ve put thousands of engineering hours into this transition to increase the velocity with which our teams are able to deliver products to patients and doctors. Not everything went smoothly though, and some of our early decisions needed to be revisited later.
