AWS Marketplace Helps Software Vendors with the Availability of a New Tax Calculation Service
This is a guest post from the AWS Marketplace team.
Software vendors that sell products on AWS Marketplace can now choose to enroll paid product listings in Tax Calculation Service (TCS) for automatic U.S. sales tax calculation on all of your AWS Marketplace transactions. For products enrolled in TCS, AWS Marketplace calculates and collects U.S. sales & use tax on software purchases based on settings you provide. AWS Marketplace disburses collected taxes to you, along with a detailed tax report, to help you meet your U.S. sales and use tax obligations.
Use of this feature is optional. Existing software vendors with AWS Marketplace can enroll and configure their settings through a self-service page in the AWS Marketplace Management Portal (AMMP) – visit your Tax Calculation Service page in AMMP to get started!
