New 2015 Requirements for APN Partners

Our customers continue to ask us for help in identifying successful APN Partners to work with, and it’s important for us to ensure that we identify and recommend APN Partners who, among other considerations, 1) invest significantly in their AWS practice, 2) possess extensive experience in deploying customer solutions on AWS, 3) develop and retain a strong bench of AWS trained and certified staff, and 4) provide extensive support to customers.

At re:Invent 2014, we announced a new set of requirements for APN Partners starting in 2015.

APN Consulting Partners

To upgrade to the Standard Tier, the requirements will now be:

• Program Fee: $2,500/year
• AWS Public Customer References: 2
• AWS Technical Professional Accreditations or Instructor-Led Training Attendees: 2
• AWS Business Professional Accreditations: 2
• Associate Level Certifications: 2
• Minimum AWS Billings (3 Month Average), Direct or Influenced: >$1,000/month
• AWS Support: Developer+

To upgrade to the Advanced Tier, the requirements will now be:

• Program Fee: $2,500/year
• AWS Public Customer References: 6
• AWS Technical Professional Accreditations or Instructor-Led Training Attendees: 8
• AWS Business Professional Accreditations: 8
• Associate Level Certifications: 4
• Professional Level Certifications: 2
• Minimum AWS Billings (3 Month Average), Direct or Influenced: >$25,000/month
• AWS Support: Business+

To upgrade to the Premier Tier, the requirements will now be:

• Program Fee: $2,500/year
• AWS Public Customer References: 10
• AWS Technical Professional Accreditations or Instructor-Led Training Attendees: 10
• AWS Business Professional Accreditations: 10
• Associate Level Certifications: 8
• Professional Level Certifications: 4
• Minimum AWS Billings (3 Month Average), Direct or Influenced: >$250,000/month with a minimum of $25,000/month direct
• APN Competency: 1
• Partner Practice Plan: Yes
• Dedicated Partner Alliance Manager for AWS: Yes
• Dedicated Project Manager for AWS: Yes
• Adheres to AWS Security Best Practices: Yes
• AWS Support: Business+

APN Technology Partners

To upgrade to the Standard Tier, the requirements will now be:

• APN Program Fee: $2500/year
• Products in General Availability on AWS: Yes
• AWS Public or Private Customer References: 2
• AWS Support: Developer+

To upgrade to the Advanced Tier, the requirements will now be:
