AWS Week in Review – June 24, 2013

Let’s take a quick look at what happened in AWS-land last week:

Monday, June 24	We announced another European location for AWS Direct Connect. The AWS PHP blog revealed and explained the new Static Service Client Facades for the AWS SDK for PHP.
Tuesday, June 25	Intel joined the AWS Marketplace with their Expressway API Manager allowing you to manage your APIs in the cloud.
Wednesday, June 26	The AWS PHP blog discussed some new SDK features that make it really easy for you to Sync Data to S3. The AWS .Net blog showed you how to Get the Latest Windows AMIs. Sanbolic Melio, new to the AWS Marketplace, enables web-serving environments to scale-out, designed to be deployed as a multi-instance cluster within a VPC.
Thursday, June 27	We announced that Route 53 now publishes the results of its health checks to CloudWatch.
Friday, June 28	The AWS .Net blog talked about Implementing EC2 Instance Status Checks. We welcomed Silver Peak Cloud Accelerator to the AWS Marketplace. This network acclerator runs on every major hypervisor (VMware vSphere, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft Hyper-V, KVM) and optimizes traffic regardless of transport protocol or application version. We also welcomed WingArc, Nginx, GenieDB, OpenMEAP, NewsLook, Vembu, WebsiteAlive, New Relic and dynaTrace to the AWS Marketplace.
