The City of Lights Hosts Startups on Air

Earlier this month, Global Startup Evangelist Mackenzie Kosut headed to the 13th arrondissement of Paris to interview startups at Station F, the largest startup campus in the world. Backed by billionaire Xavier Niel, Station F boasts 3,000 desks, 31 startup programs, 4 kitchens, and a pop-up shop—not to mention several fantastic pieces of art by Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. It was also bursting with startup founders, engineers, and CTOs, all eager to share their stories of how they got started, detail how they’re overcoming challenges, and demonstrate how they’re leveraging AWS to grow and develop their respective companies.

First up was Pepeats, which provides carefully curated recommendations for restaurants and bars, utilizing Elastic Beanstalk. The company has given the phrase “word of mouth” a whole new meaning and power!

To round off an awesome day, Mackenzie chatted with askAndy, a service providing real, on-demand handyman service that uses Elastic Beanstalk.
