Join us for episode 2 of the Twitch machine learning training series

If you missed the first episode of AWS Power Hour: Machine Learning this past Thursday, it’s not too late to catch the recorded stream. And be sure to join us for the second episode on Thursday, July 30, at 4 p.m. PST on Twitch.

Episode 1 Recap: Spoiler Alert!

Here’s what you missed: expert hosts Jon Dion and Kirsten Dupart led us through an introduction to machine learning (ML) and the AWS ML stack, along with practical tips from full-stack developer and special guest, Gillian Armstrong. We also learned what the AWS ML stack and butter have in common—yes, you read that correctly—and how the question of extraterrestrial life inspired Kirsten’s interest in ML. There were tons of great questions in the chat, so be sure to keep them coming this week!

Episode 2: What to Expect

This Thursday, July 30, Kashif Imran, an AWS Principal Solutions Architect, will join our hosts. Kashif will dive into Amazon Textract, the AWS artificial intelligence (AI) service that allows you to easily extract text and data from virtually any document. We’ll get hands-on in this episode, spend time in the AWS Management Console, and review code samples that will help you understand how to leverage service APIs. We’ll wrap up the episode with a fun quiz and provide an opportunity for you play with what you built.
