Empowering Enterprise Mainframe Workloads on AWS with Micro Focus
Large mainframes have challenging non-functional requirements in order to process large volumes of data and users for core-business workloads. Micro Focus Enterprise Server mainframe capabilities, combined with AWS global infrastructure, provide the quality of service required by large applications. With this solution, enterprises and public institutions deploy mainframe workloads on AWS with high security, high availability, elasticity, and robust system management.
Serverless Containers are the Future of Container Infrastructure
With the shift to containers and serverless solutions, organizations are presented with a unique question: how do you maximize an application’s uptime while maintaining a cost-effective infrastructure at both layers? Keeping availability high by over-provisioning is easy, but it’s also very expensive. As a result, several challenges have arisen on the path to building an optimized, cost-effective, and highly available containerized infrastructure on AWS: pricing, instance sizing, and containers utilization.

Accelerating Data Warehouse Migration to Amazon Redshift Using Cognizant Intelligent Data Works
Many organizations are looking to migrate existing, on-premises enterprise data warehouse systems to cloud-based data warehouse systems such as Amazon Redshift. Here, we discuss how Cognizant’s Intelligent Migration Workbench (IMW) can be used to accelerate the data warehouse migrations while converting Oracle PL/SQL and Tetradata BTEQ scripts. IMW makes it easy to move mission critical proprietary code to AWS, giving customers competitive edge through faster time to market.

Bringing Business Intelligence to Healthcare Organizations with Tableau on AWS
At Tableau Conference 2018, we announced a new AWS Quick Start: Tableau Server on AWS for Healthcare. This lets customers quickly deploy Tableau Server on AWS in a manner that is preconfigured with common security and compliance controls, such as encryption at-rest and in-transit, and support their compliance objectives out of the box. The Quick Start comes with a jointly authored security controls reference describing how different parts of the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rules apply to AWS and Tableau.
Updated SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start Supports Multi-AZ, Single-Node Configurations
We are excited to release a major update to the SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start that supports Multi-AZ, single-node configurations with high availability. The SAP HANA on AWS Quick Start helps you deploy fully functional SAP HANA systems on the AWS Cloud, following best practices from AWS and SAP. The Multi-AZ option uses two Availability Zones for the SAP HANA environment on AWS and provisions two SAP HANA servers—primary and secondary—in separate, private subnets and configures them for high availability.

New Features in AWS Service Broker for OpenShift and Kubernetes
The AWS Service Broker is an open source project that allows native AWS services to be exposed directly through application platforms, such as Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Developers are able to provision and expose AWS through the Service Catalog, CLI, or API without needing to interact with the AWS console, or without having extensive knowledge of AWS. In response to customer feedback, we have added new features to AWS Service Broker for OpenShift and Kubernetes.
