Introducing Security Solutions for Government Workloads from AWS Partners

Government agencies and public sector organizations need rapidly deployable and dependable security solutions to support their missions. In response to this need, AWS launched the Security Solutions for Government Workloads initiative under the Authority to Operate (ATO) on AWS Program. This initiative works with AWS Public Sector Partners, members of the AWS Partner Network (APN), to develop security solutions designed to meet the unique security and compliance requirements of public sector workloads.

AWS Educate announces university challenge in UK and Ireland

University students in the United Kingdom and Ireland can now register for the AWS Educate University Challenge for a chance to win prizes for their university while building skills in the cloud. In the inter-university competition, students from the UK and Ireland earn points for their university by completing AWS Educate Cloud Career Pathways and Specialty Badges.

AWS EdStart releases new voice technology course and digital badge

As screen time dependence has increased, education technology companies (EdTechs) are looking for new ways to engage students and create a more natural interaction with their products. One way to do so is using voice technology to help students, teachers, and administrators stay informed, be productive, and create more meaningful learning opportunities. To help, the AWS EdStart and Alexa in Education teams are launching the AWS EdStart Voice Builder course and badge. Helping healthcare professionals use the cloud to serve Canadians citizens through AWS DigiHealth

In June, Amazon Web Services (AWS) piloted AWS DigiHealth, an educational program designed for healthcare professionals in IT, digital health, and healthcare delivery to learn about cloud computing concepts. The program teaches participants about the value of the cloud, shares examples of how the cloud can be applied in healthcare, and reviews applicable available services through AWS. The pilot was eligible for working professionals in the health care sector who were interested in learning how the cloud can help them transform their organization and spur innovation.

Artificial intelligence (AI) and related technologies including machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) can transform the way government agencies operate and enable them to provide improved citizen services. AWS Partner Network Partners have been working with AWS to accelerate solutions development using AI and related technologies for our public sector customers. To further assist partners in the acceleration of AI and ML, AWS is launching a new partner initiative: the AI and ML Rapid Adoption Assistance Initiative.
