Announcing new certification: AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty

Are you currently charged with designing, implementing, migrating, and operating SAP workloads on AWS, or perhaps are on a path to incorporate this into your role? The need for individuals with this skill set is growing but until now there hasn’t been an industry credential to validate this expertise. We’re introducing the new AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty certification to give IT professionals the opportunity to showcase their expertise, build their confidence and credibility, and ultimately, give organizations and their customers the assurance that their SAP workloads are being run optimally on AWS.

About the certification

The AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty certification validates advanced technical skills and experience in designing, implementing, migrating, and operating SAP workloads optimally on AWS. We recommend that candidates for this credential have five or more years of SAP experience with one or more years of working with SAP on AWS. This exam will validate your ability to perform the following:

• Design an SAP solution that runs in the AWS Cloud in adherence with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
• Design an SAP solution that runs in the AWS Cloud in adherence with SAP certification and support requirements
• Implement new SAP workloads on AWS
• Migrate existing SAP workloads to AWS
• Operate and maintain SAP workloads on AWS

The exam duration is 170 minutes and will consist of 65 questions, either multiple choice or multiple response, and will be available at launch in English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. The exam is proctored by Pearson VUE and PSI, and candidates have the option to test with online proctoring (see our tips for success in taking your exam via online proctoring) or in testing centers. The AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty certification is available for $300 USD.

Who is this for?

The AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty certification is designed for IT professionals in technical roles that require experience with both SAP and AWS, such as SAP Basis Architect, Infrastructure Architect, Cloud Architect, SAP Technical Architect, Partner Solution Architect, Cloud Consultant, and SAP Practice Manager.

Exam preparation and registration

We offer exam preparation resources which candidates can use, including the free, four-hour digital course, SAP on AWS (Technical), and the AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty Exam Guide, which provides an outline of the exam content. Candidates can also use AWS Certified: SAP on AWS – Specialty Sample Questions and the 20-question SAP on AWS Practice Question Set. The latter is available in English for free today, and will be available in Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese in May.
