This week, Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced two new AWS Cloud Innovation Centers (CICs) in Bahrain at the University of Bahrain (UoB) and at Bahrain Polytechnic (BP). Teresa Carlson, vice president of worldwide public sector at AWS, made the announcement at the annual re:Invent conference in Las Vegas. Both CICs will be supported by Tamkeen, a public authority in Bahrain focused on workforce development.

Today, at the Simo Education trade show in Madrid, Spain, SM Educamos, an educational network learning platform, announced the launch of its new Alexa skill SM Educamos. Powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), the skill is available free of charge to SM Educamos’s one million current users and in more than 1,200 educational centers.

Oxford University Press (OUP) is a department of the University of Oxford and the largest university press in the world. In 2015, OUP launched the Oxford Global Languages (OGL) initiative aiming to build lexical resources for 100 of the world’s languages and make them freely available online.
