Nine from AWS Honored as CRN’s Women of the Channel for 2019

Working at Amazon

Amazon works to identify the best possible talent from all backgrounds for technical and non-technical roles, partnering with organizations and academic institutions worldwide that reach underrepresented communities.

Through our unique interview process, which is based on our Leadership Principles, we work to understand the diverse perspectives that candidates from all backgrounds bring to Amazon. We actively recruit women globally and underrepresented racial/ethnic minority talent in the United States.

Amazon has 10 affinity groups, also known as employee resource groups, which bring Amazonians together across businesses and locations around the world. This includes the Amazon Women in Engineering (AWE), Black Employee Network (BEN), and Indigenous@ groups.

As of 2018, there were 40,000 Amazonians in more than 190 affinity group chapters worldwide. With executive and company sponsorship, these groups play an important role in building internal networks, advising Amazon business units, leading in service projects, and reaching out to communities where Amazonians live and work.
