In California alone, hundreds of thousands of previous marijuana offenders are haunted by a blemished record, even after the passing of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act, or Prop 64, in 2016. Two years later, only a tiny fraction of all marijuana convictions in the state have been reported. To help solve this challenge, Code for America is providing much-needed guidance to petitioners through Clear My Record, a free service built on AWS that helps people with criminal records begin the clearance process.

We announced the AWS Container Competency for APN Partners at AWS re:Invent 2018. Launch Partners have built solutions on AWS that improve customers’ abilities to run workloads on containers. In this post, we describe best practices and introduce the AWS Landing Zone solution that automates landing zone deployment and configuration. It all starts with a multi-account structure with security and governance controls and network settings. Based on customer business requirements, the initial AWS Landing Zone environment can be scaled up through capabilities like the Account Vending Machine functionality, Landing Zone Add-Ons, and automated resource baselining.
