The AWS Training and Certification team is hosting a beta for an updated version of our AWS Certified Developer – Associate exam. This beta reflects current AWS features, services, and best practices. You may take the beta exam through March 16. Space is limited and registration will close when capacity is reached. We are offering the beta exam for $75 USD—a 50 percent discount off the cost of the standard Developer exam.

We have updated our AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate exam to include new services and architectural best practices, including the pillars of the Well-Architected Framework. The new exam validates knowledge of how to architect and deploy secure and robust applications on AWS technologies. We recommend candidates have at least one year of hands-on experience designing available, cost-efficient, fault-tolerant, scalable, and distributed systems on AWS before taking the exam.

It validates knowledge of effectively securing the AWS platform and covers incident response, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, identity and access management, and data protection. The Center for Advanced Defense Studies (C4ADS) is a nonprofit organization based in Washington D.C. that provides data-driven analysis and evidence-based reporting on global conflict and transnational security issues. Because their analysts must comb through extensive records from different sources, it became increasingly difficult to make use of all the data. ClearScale, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, implemented a large data lake on AWS to make the data more user-friendly for C4ADS analysts.
