Automating Security, Governance, and Monitoring in AWS Landing Zone to Save Time, Effort, and Cost
Enterprises migrating to AWS with multiple applications and distributed teams often lack centralized governance, management, or security systems. With AWS Landing Zone, you can configure and provision a secure, scalable, automated, multi-account AWS environment aligned with AWS best practices without existing resources. It gives you granular, centralized control over your cloud workloads, with a consistent level of security and compliance across all accounts.
Enforce Centralized Tag Compliance Using AWS Service Catalog, DynamoDB, Lambda, and CloudWatch Events
Some customers have a central database where they keep tag values, and they want to enforce tags at provisioning using the tag enforcement capability of AWS Service Catalog. In this post, we’ll show you how to implement tag options so the tag option library is automatically updated when new tags are added to Amazon DynamoDB. Using this solution ensures that all the AWS Service Catalog products launched by end users will be automatically tagged with a standard set of values defined by your organization.
Building Self-Healing Infrastructure-as-Code with Dynatrace, AWS Lambda, and AWS Service Catalog
In this post, we demonstrate how using Dynatrace, AWS Lambda, and AWS Service Catalog, customers can build a workflow to initiate the required incident response action to the problems detected by Dynatrace AI, which detects and triggers a problem notification when an end user is impacted with the real user experience, service level agreements (SLAs), or service availability due to the underlying system resources. Dynatrace is an AWS Competency Partner.

AWS Service Catalog Launches Solution Blueprints in GitHub for APN Partners to Leverage
A number of APN Consulting Partners have told us they would like to have access to a repository of solution blueprints that address common business patterns. To meet this need, AWS Service Catalog is now providing easy access to common and foundational AWS-based solutions and reference architectures in GitHub. There are currently five blueprints from AWS solutions architects on GitHub, and we plan to establish a formal process for APN Consulting Partners to submit reference architectures.
Validation Checklists Clarify Requirements for the AWS Service Delivery Program
As part of the onboarding process when joining the AWS Service Delivery Program, APN Partners must go through a technical audit of their experience delivering AWS services to end customers. This audit is conducted by internal technical experts who validate the APN Partner’s knowledge and capabilities for a specific AWS service. To help APN Partners better understand this process, we are introducing Validation Checklists that provide visibility into the criteria we use during an organization’s technical validation.
