AWS EUC @re:Invent: Streamlining log-on experience for Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon AppStream 2.0

Customer experience is top of mind and one of our top priorities. Creating a good customer experience also means balancing user experience and maintaining a strong security posture. Maintaining a high security bar is especially important while managing a hybrid workforce. One key blocker to a great customer experience is having to sign on into a user’s desktop or application(s) multiple times. With multiple logons, users often have to remember multiple user names and passwords which add unnecessary time to the logon process. Everytime a user forgets their username or password adds additional time as they have their logon info reset. By switching to passwordless authentication not only are companies able to enhance their security posture but also improve end user experience.

At AWS re:invent 2022, join me at AWS End User Computing’s chalk talk session EUC310, “Streamlining log-on experience for Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon AppStream 2.0”. In this interactive session, I’ll discuss methods for using single sign-on (SSO) in an Amazon WorkSpaces and Amazon AppStream 2.0 environments. I’ll also focus on specific challenges you and your users are facing with log-ons today and discuss solutions that will improve user experience and overall security.

One of the features we’ll discuss that solves a challenge many customers have faced is the newly launched Certificate Based Authentication for Amazon AppStream 2.0. We’ll spend time diving into this feature and seeing how we solve this challenge while maintaining the security posture you have come to expect with Amazon End User Computing services.

Join me on Tuesday, November 29th, 2022 at 12:30 PM at the MGM Grand and participate in the discussion. I look forward to seeing you there.
