AWS Jam Lounge and virtual workshops offer hands-on learning at AWS Public Sector Summit Online

AWS releases over a hundred new features and services each year. But do you know how those services can impact your cloud operations? The AWS Jam Lounge offers participants an opportunity to showcase their knowledge of AWS services and learn how they can address common public sector cloud use cases and operational tasks. Check your knowledge on topics like security, DevOps, data analytics, and all-in services.

Create a team or work solo and make your way to the top of the leaderboard as you develop enhance, and validate your skill set in the AWS cloud through real-world problem solving. Intel and Fortinet, official Jam Lounge sponsors, will have unique challenges included in the Lounge where you can learn first hand how their solutions work with AWS and ways they can benefit your organization.

This year’s Jam Lounge will be open from Thursday, April 15 at 1:00pm ET until Friday, April 23 at 8:00pm ET and new challenges will be released every few days. Be sure to keep returning to check out new challenges.

Learn something new by attending virtual workshops

Have you been missing live, instructor-led training you would typically find at in-person Summits? So have we! That’s why this year we are working closely with AWS developer advocates to include a series of online, hands-on workshops designed to equip you with new, tangible skills you can take back to your organization. Workshops are great for anyone who is eager to learn in a casual atmosphere where even if you fall behind, you’re encouraged to keep watching and take notes. AWS team members will be standing by to help if you get stuck.

• Intro to Serverless Computing
• Intro to AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK)
• Building an Enterprise Analytics Solution with Amazon Redshift and .net

These no-cost workshops will be hosted twice to accommodate different time zones. Summit registrants will receive more information closer to the event on how to sign up for available workshops.
