Nonprofit organizations tend to have a lot of data that resides in systems that don’t interact with each other. For organizations in the nonprofit healthcare industry, this problem is made more difficult to manage by the sheer volume of data that they collect. Solving this data unification problem is the reason that Collibra, an AWS Partner, built the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud. Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin (F&MCW), a nonprofit academic medical center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, uses the Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud on AWS to unify access to diverse datasets to improve patient outcomes.

AWS is expanding its Partner Transformation Program (PTP) with a suite of Targeted Transformation Modules (TTMs) to help AWS Partners accelerate their cloud journey through tailored guidance and support. These new TTMs, available now, provide topic-specific workshops designed to complement standard PTP engagement. Developed in collaboration with our partners, the two TTMs currently available to partners are the Cloud Enablement Engine (CEE) and the CFO Cloud Conversations (CCC).

The Think Big for Small Business (TBSB) program provides AWS Partners with access to AWS Partner Programs, financial incentives, and additional visibility with customers and AWS teams. Since March 2021, more than 500 partners from 41 countries have participated in the TBSB program, and have launched more than 1,200 opportunities with public sector customers. In 2022, the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) initiated a pilot project to analyze traffic patterns and provide analytics within the Philadelphia Navy Yard. PIDC employed Rekor Systems, Inc. (Rekor) to bring this pilot project to fruition. Rekor is a global artificial intelligence (AI) technology company and an AWS Public Sector Partner with a mission to provide insights that build safer, smarter, and more efficient cities worldwide through intelligent infrastructure.

In early 2020, the Norton Police Department’s (NPD) on-premises, legacy system, failed them for the last time. Lifesaving services were down. To revive them, NPD made the decision to go live on AWS Partner SOMA Global’s public safety platform—six months ahead of the scheduled cutover date. Despite the early deployment, the SOMA platform exceeded expectations, making sure critical emergency call-taking and dispatching continued. Using SOMA also helped NPD cut costs and save time. Civix, a government technology (GovTech) company and AWS Partner, uses AWS to provide software and services that support multiple public sector use cases, including election management, grants management, and more. Civix saw an opportunity to streamline how filers and third-party vendors manage and report disclosure data to states. Civix worked with the AWS Service Creation team to design and launch a serverless solution on AWS to support filers and campaign management vendors and to increase finance transparency for the constituents they serve.

Citi Logik is a UK-based government technology (GovTech) company and AWS Partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Citi Logik uses AWS to enhance anonymised raw mobile network data (MND) so organisations can identify trends in the flow of people across a variety of different transportation modes. Citi Logik provides their customers, including the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Wiltshire County Council, with valuable insights to help them make informed decisions about future transportation planning and urban planning development.

Carbyne, an AWS justice and public safety customer and partner, provides 911 call handling systems, offering a cloud-native software as a service (SaaS) platform. Although any public safety answering points (PSAPs) can benefit from Carbyne’s cloud-powered solution, certain regions with hostile, remote terrain can especially benefit from improved caller location and the ability to put eyes on the scene. This is crucial, for example, in situations where people are lost or hurt in the desert, and in desert-heavy counties that form the Rio Grande Council of Governments (RGCOG). Using Carbyne improved RioCOG’s caller location from an accuracy of a few miles to within roughly 10 meters on over 85% of emergency calls.
