Today Amazon Web Services (AWS) launches a free AWS Learning Plan and Digital Badge for Media and Entertainment (M&E) for Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Broadcast Foundations. The learning plan educates executives, industry professionals, and technologists about the AWS services and best practices to apply to Broadcast and Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) workflows in the cloud.

As your organization starts to modernize its mainframe workloads, it’s important that the workforce has skills that are diverse and complementary, such as mainframe, mainframe modernization, and cloud skills. In order to help our customers and partners build skills to support their mainframe modernization with AWS journeys, we have launched 10 self-paced courses.

When the war broke out in the Ukraine in February 2022, Julia was offered an opportunity to relocate to Poland with her current employer. Once there, she found a job listing for a customer service coordinator with AWS’ ITSkills4U program. She applied and got the job. In March 2023, AWS Training and Certification released 27 digital products including 14 AWS Builder Labs, an AWS Jam Journey (analytics), two courses for AWS Partners, three courses for c-suite leaders, and a classroom course on AWS security best practices. Exam labs have been temporarily removed from the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate exam. To help organizations scale skill-building with their teams, AWS Skill Builder Team subscription is now available in 50 countries.

Every new skill learned is a chance to address imbalances throughout a company, bringing in new voices with different approaches to problems. In this blog, we share two stories of resilient Ukrainians who have taken advantage of the IT Skills 4U program to build cloud skills and industry credentials to improve their circumstances in the face of the conflict in Ukraine. IT Skills 4U is a free training program for Ukrainians willing to learn AWS skills, transition into cloud roles, or advance their IT career. Developed by AWS, the program curriculum includes a combination of self-paced learning (AWS Educate in Ukrainian, AWS Skill Builder), AWS instructor-led training, AWS Certification, English and Polish language classes, and career support services.
