We are excited to add Linux support to our AWS Quick Start for Tableau Server on AWS. This Quick Start automatically deploys Tableau Server in a standalone or cluster environment on the AWS cloud, and now you can deploy on Linux in addition to Microsoft WindowServer. With this update, customers now have the ability to deploy on Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) running two different flavors of Linux.

Amazon FreeRTOS code for ESP32 is now available on the Amazon FreeRTOS GitHub repository. Espressif Systems is a multinational, fabless semiconductor company that has been focused on producing connected microcontrollers and System-on-Modules (SoMs) for the emerging mobile and IoT markets. Espressif has worked diligently to connect a number of their popular IoT SoMs to AWS IoT services. In this post, we discuss how to start running Amazon FreeRTOS on ESP32 in order to connect to AWS IoT Core.

VMware Cloud on AWS enables customers to have a hybrid cloud platform by running their VMware workloads in the cloud while having seamless connectivity to on-premises and AWS native services. Kaleido Blockchain Business Cloud platform is the first managed blockchain SaaS available on AWS Marketplace and takes customers all the way from concept to consortium.

Ensuring that proper security measures are in place calls for robust security testing mechanisms. GuardiCore’s Infection Monkey is an open source Breach and Attack Simulation (BAS) tool that tests and evaluates the effectiveness of your network security configurations during post-breach attacks. You can simulate a breach by “infecting” a server with a “Monkey” that runs around your network using various methods to enter propagation paths and attacks each point of vulnerability it discovers.

Since AWS has announced that all our services comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we wanted to explore some of the ways AWS can help you on your road to compliance. In this post, we walk through the support AWS offers across the APN as well as the AWS Premium Support and AWS Professional Services organizations. We explain how these teams are working with customers and APN Partners in Europe and around the world to support them with questions related to GDPR and AWS.

The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose top APN Partners that have demonstrated technical proficiency and proven customer success in specialized solution areas. This validation gives customers complete confidence in choosing APN Partner solutions from the tens of thousands in the AWS Partner Network.

At the AWS London Summit, we announced the new AWS Machine Learning Competency Program for APN Consulting Partners. Launch Partners in this program have deep expertise and proven customer success in Machine Learning on AWS, and we are excited to showcase some of their stories. The AWS Competency Program helps customers identify and choose the top APN Partner for their AWS projects and workloads.

We are excited to announce the Horizon 7 virtual desktop and application platform is now supported on VMware Cloud on AWS. Architecturally, the Horizon 7 platform is the same on-premises as it is on VMware Cloud on AWS, so the deployment and management experience stays consistent across environments. Customers no longer have to purchase new hardware to launch or scale Horizon 7, and instead have the option of pay-as-you-go by leveraging VMware Cloud on AWS hourly billing.
