Georgia’s Department of Human Services (DHS), the largest of the state’s agencies, was able to digitally transform their business and rapidly scale their AWS Cloud adoption with AWS Managed Services (AMS). Orbital Sidekick (OSK) uses advanced satellite technology and data analytics to help the energy industry protect pipelines and make them less vulnerable to risks such as leaks, contamination, and damage caused by construction and natural disasters. OSK uses compute and analytics services from AWS to power the scalable OSK data pipeline and imagery storage solution in order to persistently monitor tens of thousands of miles of pipeline energy infrastructure and deliver real-time, actionable insights to customers.

Waterford.org is an early education nonprofit committed to advancing equity and excellence for young learners. Waterford.org provides personalized programs for learners from pre-kindergarten to second grade, and support services for families and educators so the adults in a child’s life can help them reach their full potential. To deliver these educational resources to families and children, Waterford.org uses AWS.

In 2022, Amazon Web Services (AWS) launched the Amazon Sustainability Data Initiative (ASDI) Global Hackathon, part of a new collaboration with the International Research Centre in Artificial Intelligence, under the auspices of UNESCO.
