AWS is excited to announce the general availability of I4i.metal instances, a new bare-metal instance for VMware Cloud on AWS. This new instance type offers high memory, CPU, and storage configuration that is ideal for workloads needing fast access to datasets. I4i.metal supports a variety of use cases which includes transactional databases (like MySQL, Oracle DB, MS SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (such as MongoDB and Couchbase).

Learn how Amazon FinSpace, a data management and analytics service purpose-built to help solve these challenges for the financial services industry, and our AWS Partners have developed business-ready platforms that map to the needs of industry analysts, data scientists, quants, and asset managers. These validated AWS Partners accelerate deployment with ready-made frameworks for specific sub-sectoral business cases using Amazon FinSpace.

As customers look to innovate with the cloud, AWS is focused on helping organizations grow by enabling them to securely run a wide range of applications with price performance benefits. AMD-powered instances are integral to these offerings, and with AMD’s announcement of fourth-generation AMD EPYC processors AWS plans to offer Amazon EC2 instances powered by the newly-introduced processors. These instances will expand customer choice of compute options available on EC2.

The AWS Machine Learning Visionaries Partners Report is a quarterly series that tracks, selects, collates, and distributes horizontal technology capabilities enabled by machine learning in areas that AWS expects to be transformative in 1-3 years. The series’ purpose is to share our insights with AWS Partners and to collect their interest, expertise, and insights in co-building along these prioritized themes. The reports include updates on series topics as we see changes in those areas, and new topics will also be added.

The AWS Ambassador Program is a vibrant worldwide community of technical experts from AWS Partner Network (APN) services and software partners.
