New AWS Partner Program Launches and Updates Announced at re:Invent 2022
Thank you for joining us in Las Vegas for AWS re:Invent 2022. We hope you enjoyed all of the educational content and big announcements!
If you missed anything or just want to recap, we have rounded up the most relevant launches and program updates available for the AWS Partner community.
Reminder: You can watch on-demand re:Invent keynotes, leadership sessions, breakouts, and more.
Watch the AWS Partner Keynote
This year’s Partner Experience at re:Invent offered content and activities designed specifically for AWS Partners and prospective partners alike. Attendees learned how to leverage AWS services to build solutions for customers, and explored AWS Partner Network (APN) programs that can help differentiate your business to reach new customers faster.
There were business and technical-focused breakout sessions, workshops, chalk talks, and the not-to-miss Partner Keynote with Ruba Borno, Vice President of AWS Worldwide Channels and Alliances.
Ruba highlighted the ways cloud-powered innovation is uniquely positioning AWS Partners to accelerate customer business transformations. We also heard directly from AWS Partners and customers about how the possibilities are unlimited when working together with AWS and the AWS Partner Network.
Watch the keynote to learn how AWS is tailoring the partner experience to guide partners to higher-value opportunities.
Special thanks to all the AWS Partners and customers who joined Ruba on stage at re:Invent: Atos, Heineken, Shuberg Philis, IBM, Inter, Infor, Confluent, Nasdaq, and Escola da Nuvem.
Congratulations: AWS Partners of the Year!
Announced during a Partner Awards Gala at re:Invent, the 2022 AWS Partner Awards recognize a wide range of partners which have embraced specialization, innovation, and collaboration over the past year. AWS Partner Awards honor partners whose business models continue to evolve and thrive on AWS as they work with customers.
For the first time, AWS Partner Awards included a self-nomination process across a number of award categories and specialization areas awarded at both the regional and global level, where all AWS Partners were invited to participate and submit a nomination. All winners were been validated and selected by a third party.
AWS created award categories based on impact such as innovation, design, social impact, sustainability, industry, and collaboration. We also identified global winners where we recognized AWS Partners with the greatest impact and customer reach, not limited to partners operating in a worldwide capacity.
Please join us in congratulating these AWS Partners for their success!
AWS Partner Profitability Framework: Deepen and Diversify Your Offerings
We’re excited to introduce the AWS Partner Profitability Framework, an intuitive and reliable way to maximize business value with the AWS Partner Network.
In 2012, we launched the APN with a few hundred partners. Today, AWS customers can choose offerings from more than 100,000 partners in 150+ countries. Partners are an integral part of AWS, empowering customers to grow their business by leveraging the scale, security, and flexibility of the cloud.
To better understand the key factors that drive partner growth and business opportunity, we commissioned an independent study of AWS Partners with Canalys, a leading global technology analyst firm.
According to the 2022 study conducted by Canalys, for every dollar of AWS revenue, partners across the globe generated a multiple based on their activities, cloud maturity, and business models.
Whether reselling, offering services, co-selling, or a combination of these, partners with a full stack of professional services and the most diversified offerings can achieve a $6.40 multiplier per $1 AWS sold. Services include advisory, design, procurement, building, adopting, and managing.

AWS Marketplace Announcements
NEW! Streamline Vendor Risk Assessments with AWS Marketplace Vendor Insights
AWS Marketplace Vendor Insights is now generally available in all public AWS Regions where AWS Marketplace is available, helping customers and sellers streamline the complex third-party software risk assessment process by enabling sellers to make security and compliance information available in AWS Marketplace.
A unified web-based dashboard gives governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) teams access to security and compliance information, such as data privacy and residency, application security, and access control. Vendor Insights serves buyers who need help to efficiently validate that third-party software meets their business compliance needs.
Vendor Insights also serves sellers who want to showcase their strong security posture, while reducing the operational burden from responding to buyer requests for risk assessment information.
NEW! AWS Marketplace for Containers Supports Direct Deployment to EKS Clusters

Amazon EKS add-ons allow you to consistently ensure your EKS clusters are secure and stable and reduce the amount of work you need to do in order to install, configure, and update Kubernetes software.
This launch makes it easier for you to find third-party Kubernetes operation software from the Amazon EKS console and deploy it to your EKS clusters using the same commands used to deploy EKS add-ons.
NEW! Integrating Third-Party Data into Your Data Mesh
Data-driven organizations are increasingly using third-party data to gain insights into their competitive landscape, track changing consumer behaviors, develop real-time responses to market dynamics, and optimize their operations with sustainability in mind.
