To support public sector organizations on their missions and with the growth of Internet of Things (IoT), Amazon Web Service (AWS) is launching the AWS IoT Rapid Adoption Assistance Initiative for AWS Partners.

Announcing the 10 finalists for the inaugural AWS Healthcare Accelerator program

We are excited to announce the selection of the 10 finalists and participants for the first ever AWS Healthcare Accelerator. These ten companies were selected from 427 applications from 31 countries around the world by a panel from AWS and KidsX. The first ever AWS Healthcare Accelerator cohort represents a diverse group of healthcare solutions backed by diverse leadership, with 90 percent of the cohort having diversity of leadership and 70 percent being female founded. These 10 finalists are working to solve many of the strategic imperatives of AWS healthcare customers.

National Voter Registration Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday in the US creating broad awareness of voter registration opportunities and celebrating democracy. The goal of National Voter Registration Day is to register one million new voters by 2022. To reach this goal, state and local governments and nonprofit civic organizations use digital platforms powered by AWS to modernize and simplify voter registration.

How Rockdale County improved operations and security with the cloud

After Rockdale County, Georgia was the victim of two cyber attacks, the jurisdiction turned to the cloud to strengthen the county’s security position. They worked with AWS Partner Tyler Technologies, Inc. to help with their migration, which not only enhanced data security and continuity of operations, but also reduced network downtime by 99 percent, while streamlining budgeting and reducing the IT staff’s burden.

The Institute of Human Virology Nigeria (IHVN) uses email as their main communication method, with over 800 email accounts using up to 50GB of storage space each. IHVN used AWS to migrate their email to Amazon WorkMail to reduce the cost of each mailbox by 64 percent, allowing their IT team to easily manage the corporate email infrastructure and get enterprise grade security.

How Booz Allen obtains C-ATO to accelerate service delivery in federal organizations using AWS

Government agencies are moving to speed up service delivery, but agencies need to obtain an Authority to Operate (ATO) that demonstrates security compliance prior to implementation, which can take a significant amount of time and can prove to be a challenge in meeting tight deadlines. AWS Partner Booz Allen Hamilton (Booz Allen) uses a platform as a service model on Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enable their customers to rapidly build, test, scan, and deploy their applications — accelerating releases in the federal government from months to days.
