In February 2023, AWS Training and Certification released 16 new self-paced courses for learners on AWS Skill Builder, including AWS Jam Journey: DevOps, three new AWS Builder Labs, and four new training courses for AWS Partners. For leaders at customer and partner organizations, AWS Skill Builder Team subscription is available in four new countries and features new Administrator reporting.

The classroom course, Systems Operations on AWS, has been renamed to Cloud Operations on AWS to better align with the evolution of the technology landscape, providing a more accurate representation of managing operations on the cloud. If you’ve signed up for this class prior to the name change, the links to join will automatically route – no action required.

Dive into our first AWS Digital Learning Badge for Cloud Game Development via a flexible Cloud Game Development Learning Plan through AWS’s online learning center, AWS Skill Builder. Created by AWS for Games solution experts, this free learning plan provides a deeper examination of game-specific solution design and operational considerations for developing games on AWS.

In January 2023, AWS Training and Certification released 20 digital training products on AWS Skill Builder, including a games-focused AWS Jam Journey for AWS Skill Builder subscribers, two new learning plans (and earn digital badges) for Solutions Architects and Game Developers, and updates to two AWS Certification exams.

Registration is now open for the updated AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional exam. These updates reflect changes in trends, the industry landscape, and the work practices of cloud professionals. If you are preparing for this exam or need to re-certify, you have the option to retake the current on or before March 6, 2023, or the updated AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional starting March 7, 2023.

Registration is now open for the updated AWS Certified Developer – Associate exam. The first day to take the updated AWS Certified Developer – Associate exam is February 28, 2023. The changes to the updated exam are not significant and reflect changes in trends, the industry landscape, and the work practices of cloud professionals. If you need to re-certify, you have the option to retake the current or updated AWS Certified Developer – Associate, or upgrade to the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, which will automatically re-certify the AWS Certified Developer – Associate.

During AWS Storage Day 2022, the AWS Storage team announced three new digital learning badges by AWS Training and Certification on AWS Skill Builder, including the AWS Learning: Data Migration badge. This badge, which is associated with the Storage Learning Plan: Data Migration, demonstrates an individual’s knowledge of AWS Storage services for creating, managing, and architecting highly available storage solutions. AWS Training and Certification courses and offerings in December 2022 include AWS Industry Quest: Financial Services, a fourth learning path for AWS Jam Journey, a sixth role for AWS Cloud Quest, and 13 AWS Builder Labs. There are seven, free, fundamental-level digital courses; two classroom courses about planning and managing databases on AWS and Amazon SageMaker Studio; two AWS Partner courses about security essentials and AWS GovCloud (US); and an AWS Certification update about the availability of online Mandarin-speaking proctors in Mainland China.
