McGraw Hill, an AWS Partner, is an education technology (EdTech) and publishing company that provides educational content, software, and services for pre-K through postgraduate education. To meet evolving learner needs, McGraw Hill recently launched the SHARPEN app—a mobile study app that mimics the types of social media content feeds familiar to young learners to foster educational success. Developed in collaboration with the AWS Growth Advisory Team, this dynamic learning experience uses AWS.

Such was the case for the 911 system in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, an agency that dispatches for 21 public safety agencies including law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services, and averages over 325 calls for service per day. After a major flood in 2016 knocked out their 911 system, they worked with AWS Partner TailorBuilt Solutions, LLC. to use AWS to become resilient against disaster, reducing service interruptions and improving response times.

The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity run that has raised funds to help find a cure for spinal cord injury since 2014. Every year, the event gives 100% of its entry fees and donations to research supported by Wings for Life, a not-for-profit foundation that supports spinal cord research. Participants can join the event worldwide at the same time, using the Wings for Life World Run App. To scale to meet the spike in demand to the Wings for Life World Run App and give real-time leaderboard updates for the global virtual race, Wings for Life World Run uses AWS.

CANImmunize is an end-to-end vaccination enablement system that helps Canadians coast to coast do everything from scheduling their appointment to proving their vaccination status—all in one interface. CANImmunize uses AWS to scale its operations and enable hundreds of thousands of people to get vaccinated and stay on top of their vaccination status.

Predictive maintenance solutions involve using artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and data analytics tools to monitor operations, detect anomalies, and predict possible defects or breakdowns in equipment before they happen.
