AWS Education Competency Partners – Supporting Education Customers and Their Missions Worldwide

At re:Invent 2016, we launched the AWS Public Sector Program to recognize APN Partners with solutions and experience delivering government, education, and nonprofit customer missions globally. The goal of the AWS Public Sector Program is to provide specific guidance and resources to help APN Partners build a successful business while focusing on serving the specific needs of public sector customers.

The AWS public sector customer base continues to grow at a rapid pace. In the Education space specifically, higher education, K-12, and Research IT teams worldwide are using the AWS Cloud to help solve challenges such as disaster preparedness, scalability, and improved student outcomes through learning analytics while concentrating on what matters most to them: helping drive the success of their students through innovative IT solutions and other organization initiatives. Our priority is to help education customers on AWS easily identify and connect with APN Partners with proven expertise and customer success in the education space who can help them take advantage of all that AWS offers.

To help customers easily identify and connect with APN Partners in the education space, today we’re excited to announce the launch of the AWS Education Competency.

What is the AWS Education Competency?

The AWS Education Competency helps customers identify Advanced or Premier tier APN Partners who have proven technical proficiency and demonstrated success building solutions for education customers using the AWS Cloud to drive success in teaching and learning, academic research, and institutional operations.

For APN Partners with expertise in this space, the AWS Education Competency is a fantastic way to differentiate your practice, showcase your commitment to drive success for the education community, and demonstrate your expertise in employing AWS architectural best practices. Achieving the AWS Education Competency is not easy. In meeting the high bar set by the AWS Education Competency, customers can be confident in your firm’s proven ability to deliver services or solutions to help meet their needs and provide additional value on AWS.

Calling All Partners in Innovation!

Apply now for the City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge  – winners in the Partners in Innovation category will receive $25,000 in AWS Promotional Credits

This is a guest post from the AWS Worldwide Public Sector team.

AWS recently launched the fourth City on a Cloud Innovation Challenge, a global program recognizing how local and regional governments are innovating on behalf of their citizens around the globe. New to the competition this year, we are opening the competition to school districts who are using the cloud to enrich learning, help teachers reach more students, and improve school or district operations.

There are three categories within the challenge: Dream Big, Best Practices, and Partners in Innovation.

We believe that cloud technology will be the backbone infrastructure for more sustainable cities and schools of the future. And the goal of the challenge is to help you transform through the use of the cloud. AWS and APN Partners globally can help cities and school districts implement solutions to support goals around energy efficiency, air quality, intelligent transportation, public safety, public health, and other programs focused on improving the quality of life for citizens and students.

The Partners in Innovation award category will recognize APN Technology Partners implementing a program or service on behalf of a government or school district. Looking for some inspiration? Check out some of the past winners of the Partners in Innovation category.
